For many artists, live performances are very important, and in the end, there may be two different kinds of artists in fact:

1. Those who prefer to create (write songs & produce an album), and
2. those who prefer to perform their music live.

If you’re a band, then you may even have some members who belong to the first category, while others will belong to the second one. In the end, it doesn’t matter into what category you personally belong, as long as you will understand that in 99% of all cases the creation of your product (the music itself) will be way more important than any live performances.
