There are a few things that seem to be highly important in the music industry, but if you take a second look, then you’ll find out that they usually aren’t. Things many people look up to, while it would, in fact, be way better to look down on them. Things artists worry about, while they should better simply ignore them. Some of those scary things include… - the singles charts (aka the “Top 40”),
- certifications (Gold or Platinum records, and so on, …),
- awards (Grammys, MTV VMA, …),
- boy bands, girl groups, other clowns and puppets, as well as
- talent shows.
The problem is the perception of those things, as both the population out there as well as many artists actually think those things are relevant and important, while they are not.
