Social networking and viral marketing are the musician’s number one promotional tools nowadays, as they allow to reach a large number of potential fans while only requiring a small budget.

Unfortunately most of today's entertainers primarily focus on all kinds of bullshit when posting stuff on social sites, instead of focusing on music. This is something that you should do differently, especially as you won’t target the same audience that Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, or most other Top 40 clowns are after.

Your social strategy should be much more old-fashioned than what most of today’s entertainers are doing, you should focus on music and art, because that’s what your target audience will be interested in.
