Okay, now you’re almost ready to start recording your killer album. You have written a bunch of great songs, maybe even a few more than you’ll need in order to complete your final record. You have followed all of the instructions and recommendations so far, and you’ve spent a lot of time writing and fine-tuning your first hit or signature songs.
But before we start recording your killer album, we will first have to solve the producer problem discussed in the previous subchapter.
Or, if we can’t solve it, then we should at least try to do everything possible to make sure that your record will be great, without having to rely on a top notch producer. When amateur artists record an album, then they usually simply record their songs, those songs are then being mixed and mastered, and that’s it. This is very different from what professional artists do, including all of the Masters Of The Past.
